Holiday lights truly light up the season and lift the spirit.

If you’re anything like me, driving around to see holiday lights always “brightens” my evening. If you’re looking for the best places to enjoy festive displays, here’s a list to guide your adventure.


2024 Ice & Lights - The Winter Village at Cameron Run 

Purchase your tickets in advance to enjoy the dazzling light displays throughout the park. Warm up by the cozy fire pits and sip hot cocoa as you take in the festive atmosphere. The Winter Village is open nightly from November 29 to January, and tickets can be purchased online here
Please note all guests aged 2 and older require an entry ticket. Ice skating is also available for an additional fee.

Located at Cameron Run Regional Park, 4001 Eisenhower Ave., Alexandria


Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights


This year, Meadowlark Botanical Gardens will shine even brighter with more lights than ever! From Friday, November 8, 2024, through Sunday, January 5, 2025, visitors can enjoy the festive glow of a 0.6-mile trail lined with stunning light displays.

Bull Run Festival of Lights 2024

Experience a 2.5-mile drive-through light display and a charming Holiday Village and Carnival walk-through!

Open nightly (weather permitting) from November 15 through January 5, the hours are as follows:

  • Monday–Thursday (excluding holidays): 5:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.

  • Friday–Sunday and holiday nights: 5:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m.


Holiday nights include:

  • November 28 and 29

  • December 24, 25, and 31
